ADAM MARSDEN has clocked up an impressive first season on the Motocross circuit.
Adam from Elsie Street, Keighley, is a pupil at Steeton Primary School and has travelled the country taking part in competitions for junior riders.
He finished fourth riding his automatic 'Husky Boy' motocross bike, striking form after a couple of poor rounds early in the season.
Already his preparing for the next campaign and will be stepping up to a higher standard of riding a year earlier than normal.
Next year he will be riding a Kawasaki KX60 bike which is like a scaled down model of the adult machines, replacing the automatic gears with a six-speed gearbox.
"He has taken to riding the six-gear machine like a duck to water and he is already showing real promise when he takes the bike out up at the Flappit.
"This year he has been up against many riders who have their own tracks and he doesn't get to ride anywhere near as much, but he has had a brilliant season," said his father Grant.
He added: "We thing he has all the makings of a real champion of the future, but competition is getting more expensive as he gets older and we hope someone will sponsor him."
