Two men fled in a waiting taxi after stealing a portable television from a house in Woodhouse Drive, Keighley.
The men entered the premises through an unlocked door at about 2.15pm on Thursday, and took the TV.
Both men were white, aged about 18, 5ft tall and skinny. The first - who was carrying the TV - has a thin face and was wearing a dark green and grey jacket with the hood pulled up, and blue jeans.
His accomplice was wearing a beige jacket with the hood pulled up.
A third suspect was sitting in the front passenger seat of the taxi. He was also about 18 years old and had dark hair.
Det Inspector Trevor Gasson, of Keighley Police, said: "We are keen to trace the taxi driver - who would not realise what was going on - but also anyone else who has information which could help identify the suspects.
"We believe those who committed this crime are local so there must be people on the estate who know them."
Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on (01535) 617059 or (01535) 617085.
