Police are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner was threatened and had her bag stolen in Cleckheaton.
The incident happened at 10.30am on Wednesday as the 61-year-old woman was walking along Railway Street. She was confronted by two men who stood in front of her and threatened her, asking for her bag. She let go of the bag which fell into the road and was snatched by the pair. They ran off along Railway Street and turned right into Northgate.
The first was described as white, 19 or 20 years old, 5ft 10in tall, of slim build, with three or four days' growth of stubble on his chin, short brown hair in a skin-head style, with a local accent and wearing dark-coloured trousers and a fleece top. He was of general dirty and scruffy appearance.
The second man was also white, 19 or 20 years old, with a skinhead, a bit smaller than the first man and wearing dark clothing.
