Juanjo is eager to get his first slice of FA Cup action tomorrow.
Weather permitting, the Spanish winger hopes to get the nod to take on Walsall - the side he scored against within seven minutes of coming on for his debut.
Plenty has happened since City's 2-0 win in November, not least a change of management at the top.
But Juanjo, Jim Jefferies' last signing, is confident he can strike a chord under new boss Nicky Law.
He said: "The last few days have been very enjoyable with the new gaffer and he can see the atmosphere among the boys is still very good.
"Even though the results have not been good, the team spirit is high and that is a good thing. We have not been playing badly, we're just not getting that bit of luck you need.
"In the Crystal Palace game we had maybe ten chances more than them but could not score. They had a couple of breaks and got two goals.
"But I was happy with the way I played. I got on well on the right wing and had a few chances and felt sharp.
"I should have scored with the one I had in the first minute. I should have got the ball round the keeper but that has gone now.
"You have to look ahead to the next game and hopefully if the weather is all right, that will be in the FA Cup.
"I know how important that is to people in England and to play in the FA Cup will be great.
"Hopefully we can get through the first few rounds and go a long way, which would make up for being a bit too low in the league table."
With Matt Etherington whisked unexpectedly back to Spurs a week ago, the spotlight is on Juanjo to give the Bantams genuine width.
He said: "It was very important for me to play the last game before the new manager came to the club.
"He can see what I can do and hopefully he will give me the chance to be in the team.
"It was sad that Jim Jefferies left the club but these things happen in football. I have to think of myself and make sure I play well to get a chance.
"Because of the frost it has been difficult to do much this week, but the new manager has made it fun while we are still working hard.
"At a time when you aren't in the best place in the table it's important that the atmosphere is right and I think the manager has been pleased with that.
"We need to pick up results and I'm sure that will come."
