Silsden 6
Keighley Pheonix 3
Silsden started off the much brighter in this local derby pinning Pheonix in their own half with Andy Holden breaking the dealock after 18 minutes.
Good work by Michael Rhodes allowed Holden to slot home and five minutes later another flowing move from the back ended with Jimmy Hedges side footing home.
Gavin Finn also benefited from good work by Michael Rhodes to slot home.
With Silsden in full flow Martin Bland headed home a cross from Holden, Jimmy Hedges added a fifth before half time.
In the second period Silsden extended their lead to six when the ever impressive Holden supplied another cross which Marti McLennon headed home at the far post.
Silsden then went to sleep allowing Pheonix to come at them and were rewarded with a goal when a cross-come-shot from Roy Mason ended up in the back of the net.
The introduction of Craig Labbatt caused problems in the Silsden defence and he scored the second and third goals for Pheonix.
The win leaves Silsden four points clear at the top of the table at the turn of the year.
