CRAVEN & District Football League officials are keeping their fingers tightly crossed that the weather will improve in time for the mouth-watering fixtures which are scheduled for tomorrow, highlighted by the meeting between Skipton rivals LMS and Bulldogs.
LMS are out to maintain their lead at the top and avenge a 6-1 defeat at the hands of Dogs early in the season, while the defending champions are looking to prove they are still the top team in the town and to close the gap at the top.
Neighbours Oxenhope Recreation and Bronte Wanderers both need points to stay in touch with the leaders, while Embsay will be looking to collect three points from Skipton Town, who urgently need points themselves to ease their position near the relegation zone after collecting only a couple of wins so far.
In Division One, it will be a case of dog-eat-dog as the top four face each other.
Leaders Bronte Wanderers Reserves are at home to third-placed Colne Shepherds, while second in the table Barnoldswick United entertain Lothersdale. Cowling have a tough derby match against Cononley Sports.
At the bottom end, the two clubs propping up the division, Hellifield and Gargrave, meet at Hellifield.
In Division Two, Waddington will be looking to close the gap on leaders Oxenhope Reserves still further when they entertain Bradley Reserves, Barrowford look to consolidate third place when they visit Grindleton Reserves and Sutton will be thankful they have no long journeys when they face Silsden Athletic at home in an effort to maintain their promotion push.
Division Three leaders McBrides look to have a comfortable home fixture against Skipton Town Reserves, chasing Cowling Reserves will not get any favours when they visit Grassington Reserves, whilst Earby's home clash with Intake Reserves will keep the heat on the leaders, whoever wins.
