The Telegraph & Argus Bradford Can...Cancer Research Appeal has benefited to the tune of £1,000 thanks to the generosity of local advertisers.
Liz Evans, classified ads manager and Janet Griffiths, the display advertising manager, pictured, got together to present the money to the Bradford Can...man.
"The money is from local advertisers who showed their support by taking out an advertisement in the T&A's 75th anniversary supplement in September," said Liz.
"We decided to give a percentage of the advertising revenue to the Bradford Can...to show our support for the charity.
"It is a fantastic appeal which we will continue to support in any way we can."
The appeal aims to raise £1 million for cancer research in Bradford, which will in turn trigger a further £5 million of funding from The Cancer Research Campaign.
It will fund pioneering research at The Cancer Research Unit at the University of Bradford and also trials of anti-cancer drugs at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
