A public inquiry into controversial plans to build a sheltered housing complex in Shipley is set to be held next month.
Developers McCarthy and Stone's appeal against Bradford Council's failure to determine its application to demolish a house off Nab Lane and Staveley Road and build 32 new flats on the 0.7-acre Nab Wood site is due to be held at Shipley Town Hall on February 21 and 22.
The company's planning application for the scheme, which if approved would see a three-storey block built on the site, resulted in objections being lodged by more than 45 residents who said it would overshadow other homes and put safety at risk by increasing traffic.
Original proposals for 42 flats on Nab Lane were rejected by Shipley Area Planning Panel last July on the grounds the development was too large and out of character.
The company has said it has amended the plans to scale down the development and alter its appearance and had appealed as the application was not determined within the specified period.
