Club chairman Chris Caisley is urging Bradford Bulls fans to snap up tickets for their World Club Challenge match.

The Bulls are meeting NRL champions the Newcastle Knights at Huddersfield's McAlpine Stadium on Friday, February 1.

Caisley is worried that a large proportion of the tickets sold so far are not necessarily to Bulls fans.

He said: "A lot of the tickets have been sold centrally via the Super League, and that means the fans could be from anywhere in the country.

"And obviously we would like as many Bulls fans there as possible. It would be nice if we could beat the 16,041 who watched St Helens defeat Brisbane Broncos last year to win the world title at the Reebok Stadium.

"After all, it isn't just an ordinary Bulls match.

"We are playing for a world title in front of a large media audience. Maybe we could even sell out the McAlpine, where the capacity is 24,500."

Super League media manager Andrew Whitelam added: "There is great interest in the match, and not just from Bulls fans, but from all over the country. It looks like it is not only going to be a big night for the Bulls fans, but for rugby league 'neutrals' too."

Tickets are available from the Bulls (08701-202040), the Super League hotline (0113-234-4455) or via www.superleague.co.uk
