Old time stars will be treading the boards in style when they conjure up a music hall treat fit for a king.
Stars of the stage Jimmy Cricket, The Bachelors and Billy 'Uke' Scott are just some of the music hall characters who will be making sure King's Hall will reign again.
The Old Time Music Hall has come back to Ilkley in style with famous faces and popular puns, this posse guarantees to fill the hall and replenish its refurbishment funds.
After bringing the house down last year Jimmy Cricket has returned to do it again, his comedy face and trademark wellies will only complement his repertoire.
It will be the first time in Ilkley for black tie three-piece The Bachelors, who bring their hit songs with them.
The Bachelors reformed in 1994, ten years following their split, and are set to perform a line-up of their greatest hits, which will include Charmaine, Diane and I Believe.
Having recently returned from an international tour, which incorporated Blackpool and Australia, the 1960s group are set to take centre stage at King's Hall, along with impressionist Johnny More, who will also be making his debut performance in Ilkley.
With a career spanning 15 years as an impressionist on radio show 'The Impressionists' and appearances at many Royal functions the comic guarantees to impress, especially with his renown Frank Sinatra impersonations.
Ilkley will also be bidding a welcome return to old favourites Dottie Wayne, Steve Galler and Billy 'Uke' Scott.
Local lady Shirley Britton will be making her first appearance in the Ilkley Music Hall accompanied by the Palace Dancers, from Maureen Williams School of Dancing in Ilkley.
The hard-work of the performers will hopefully increase the funds for the restoration programme in progress at King's Hall.
The money raised at the event will be donated to the restoration of King's Hall and Winter Garden, which began two years ago.
The first phase of the restoration work has been carried out and has seen a new foyer installed along with a manager's office, new toilets and new seating in the auditorium.
The money raised from this show will go towards improving seating to the balcony, providing new showcases and lighting to the hall.
Eventually they are hoping to redecorate the theatre.
The show will open at the Ilkley Music Hall, Station Road, on Friday, February 15, until Saturday, February 16, starting at 7.30pm.
lTickets cost £11 and may be obtained from the Ilkley Tourist Office. For more information contact (01943) 436200.
