Guiseley AFC are hoping to be back in action on Saturday when they travel to Eastwood Town in Nottinghamshire. Their reserve team are hoping for a home game with Leigh RMI in the Lancashire League.
Both sides had games cancelled last Saturday due to frozen pitches.
The first team were due to play at home to Matlock Town and the Reserves at Leigh RMI where the ground was so hard they could not even take the Rugby League posts out to put the soccer goalposts in.
The Reserves have been out of action since November 28 when they gained a memorable win at Altrincham.
Since then games have fallen by the wayside to the weather and to various excuses from their opponents leaving Guiseley now six games behind league leaders Morecambe.
They will be hoping to catch up on a few games in the coming weeks before their 'keeper Tom Morgan sets off for a nine month coaching spell in America.
To keep fit Guiseley Reserves have joined one of the indoor league's at Skylark Leeds, which is run by their defender Cory Larkin. On their debut in the league on Tuesday they had a 12-2 win with a team of Tom Morgan, Scott Price, Simon Tweddle, Phil Atkinson, Ben Thackwray, James Elliott, Steve Daykin and Jamie Buchan.
Both Guiseley's teams were hoping to sharpen up for league action with a game between first and second teams on Wednesday night. It was expected that a triallist centre-half would have a run out.
Guiseley will face Harrogate Town in the West Riding County Cup after Town triumphed 3-0 over local rivals Harrogate Railway on Tuesday night.
Before crowd of 629 their scorers were former Guiseley striker Robbie Whellans, Iain Dunn and Craig Elliott.
Guiseley were awaiting the outcome of Wednesday night's much delayed UniBond League Cup match between Bradford Park Avenue and Whitby Town to see which cup competition they go into and where they would go.
A victory or draw for Avenue would send Guiseley to Leek Town while a defeat for Avenue would give Guiseley a home tie against Blyth or Spennymoor.
Manager Neil Parsley is currently suffering from septic tonsils and may well miss Saturday's match at Eastwood.
