Local people can this month put forward their ideas for the make-up of Keighley's new Town Council.
Bradford Council has suggested splitting the town into a dozen wards represented by 30 councillors.
Following next week's meeting of Keighley Area Panel, people and groups will be asked to give their views on the proposal.
Under Bradford's plan the town, which has 38,000 adult electors, would be split into 12 areas, each with a different number of councillors.
City Hall believes this would let local ties be recognised and allow councillors to get to know their areas.
The areas would be: East Morton, West Morton, Riddlesden, two councillors; Stockbridge, Beechcliffe, four; Park Wood, Thwaites Brow, three; town centre, one; Hainworth, Spring Bank, Woodhouse, Parkwood, two; Knowle Park, Bracken Bank, Ingrow, Hermit Hole, four; Utley, Cliffe Castle, three; Black Hill, Guard House, four; Fell Lane, three; Braithwaite, Laycock, one; Oakworth, Oldfield, three; Bogthorne, one.
The Keighley News will next week publish the council's proposals in detail.
