Not a ball was kicked in the league last weekend - the first complete wipe-out of fixtures this season.
Fortunately the mild first half of the season allowed matches to go ahead and league officials do no envisage a major disruption. However, with the quarter-finals of the Devonshire Carpets League Cup, and a classic encounter in the Northern Plant Hire Trophy, due to be played this weekend officials hope the improved weather continues.
The match taking in the Northern Plant Hire Trophy sees holders Cross Hills at home to Division One front runners Intake FC, with both teams looking for a semi-final place.
In the Premier Cup current holders Oxenhope recreation entertain neighbours Bronte Wanderers in what should be a keenly fought match.
Premiership leaders Skipton LMS won't have an easy task when they visit Carleton, while a meeting of clubs in the lower reaches of the divisions sees Keighley Lifts travel to Skipton Town in a repeat of their Northern Plant Hire Cup meeting which Lifts won. This time Town will be looking to reverse the result.
Skipton Bulldogs have a home tie against Grindleton as they bid to continue their run in all competitions this season.
There will be a new name on the Division One Cup trophy come the end of the season, although Bronte Wanderers Reserves could keep the trophy within their club by emulating their first team who won the competition last time. First they have to get through a tough tie against Lothersdale Athletic who are also looking to put their name on the silverware.
Two sides who are looking for promotion, Cowling and Barnoldswick United, meet in South Craven. The tie looks to have all the hallmarks of a classic cup encounter.
Bradley entertain neighbours Cononley Sports in what should be another close match. Cononley have been coming into form while Bradley are always tough to beat at home.
Hellifield Sports are hosts to Gargrave in a clash of two clubs who are finding life difficult this season.
Oxenhope Recreation reserves make the long trip to Ingleton and hope to come away with the spoils. Waddington FC who are unbeaten this season meet Skipton Bulldogs Reserves in a a game which will be no easy task for either team.
Barrowford United have a home tie against struggling Grindleton Reserves, which should be a home banker. Sutton should also progress at the expense of Bradley Reserves who have yet to win this season.
In Division Three Cowling Reserves are already through to the semi-final having received a bye. Top match is the meeting of leaders McBrides and promotion hopefuls Carleton Reserves, which is a tough game to predict.
Earby FC face a daunting task at Grassington United Reserves who are always a handful at home. Intake Reserves will be feeling confident in their home tie with Pendle Athletic.
