Kendal Town 1, Eastwood Town 1.

A 90th minute equaliser from Eastwood condemned Kendal to their fourth draw of the season, leaving them fourth bottom from the UniBond First Division table after six games.

The game was goalless until the 58th minute when substitute Paul Crompton was put beyond the central defence with a well-wieghted ball from Lee O'Keefe.

Crompton shimmied, deceived the keeper and slotted the ball neatly past the Eastwood full-back.

Eastwood were unlucky not to equalise in the 66th minute when they hit the underside of the bar, but the ball shot straight down onto the goal line and spun back into play.

Eastwood keeper Danny Bryant was red carded for a clumsy challenge on John Dann, but Eastwood looked more dangerous with 10 men than they had with 11.

Just when it appeared that Kendal would hold on for their first win of the season Eastwood won a free kick from a central position just outside the box.

Gary Castledine's free-kick took a slight deflection from the left-hand side of the defensive wall - just enough to defeat keeper Mike Kinsella.
