Division One pacesetters Commonside and the Premier Division's Airedale Celtic failed to settle their Sonder Heating Cup second-round tie at the first attempt, the sides being deadlocked at 1-1 after extra time.
Bob Hiscox gave Airedale an early lead, and John Goodall levelled just after half time.
Premier Division title-chasers Mount had no problems against lower division opposition however, goals from Aswat (3), Malik, Makda, Irmam and Khalid giving them a comfortable 7-3 victory at Carlinghow Victoria.
Overthorpe also hit a magnificent seven in their third-round success at fellow Premier-outfit Bosnia.
Simon Thompson led the way with a hat-trick, the others coming from Paul Mellor (2), Ian Alsop and Chris Richardson in a 7-2 result.
In an all-First Division meeting Hare and Hounds booked their place in the fourth round with a 5-1 home win over Lowside WMC.
The shock of the day on the league front was Lord Nelson's 4-3 Premier Division defeat at Black Horse.
Title-chasing Nelson's hopes were scuppered when goals from Danny Tate (2), Jay Hinchcliffe and John Smith saw Horse gallop into a 4-0 lead. Nelson hit back with late goals from Mark Lawton (2) and Lee Jones, but the damage had been done.
Ben Davis grabbed a hat-trick and Lee Tattersfield a brace as Bywell maintained their title interest with a 5-3 win at Norfolk.
In Division One, Hightown kept in touch with the top two after their 8-0 drubbing of visitors Punch Bowl, while Richard Adamson was on target with four goals in Shooters' 5-1 win at Parkham Rangers.
