Human beings may be capable of regrowing severed limbs by the year 2001, according to an American professor at Bradford University. It is possible they might be able to regrow limbs lost in accidents, and worn out internal organs could be reproduced from placenta stored in freezers from birth. The world of "regenerative man" would make wooden legs and plastic heart valves redundant - and it could all happen in the next 15 to 50 years.

An extension of the Bankfoot-Lister Park bus service to give a service across the valley to Undercliffe was recommended yesterday by a sub-committee of Bradford Transport Committee. The Chairman, Coun. A.S. Downey, said it was proposed to apply for an extension of the service to run via Queen's Road, Lister Lane, Valley View Grove, Northcote Road to Undercliffe.
