City striker Robbie Blake is poised join Burnley in a shock £1.25million deal.
The promotion-chasing Clarets have been long-time admirers of the Bantams hitman and have upped their offer to prise him away from Valley Parade.
Blake has told City manager Nicky Law that he wants to join the Turf Moor club and cash from the deal will be used to bring in fresh faces
City chairman Geoffrey Richmond today revealed he had accepted the Burnley offer which is subject to Blake's personal terms being agreed.
He told the Telegraph & Argus: "The offer is £1million, plus a quarter of a million if Burnley get promoted.
"Robbie Blake is aware of Burnley's interest and, yes, he would like to go.
"I think the deal will go through but it will be subject to the player agreeing personal terms."
Blake's representatives opened talks with Burnley today.
Richmond added: "Money from the deal will be made available to Nicky Law to bring in some of his own players.
"It would never the club's policy to keep an unhappy player."
Blake, City's leading scorer this season, is currently out of action with a stomach injury.
