A retired police inspector will join six writers for this year's Airedale Writers' Circle programme.
Members of the Keighley-based group will be given tips on writing romantic, humorous and crime stories.
The circle meets once a month at the Social Centre for the Blind in Scott Street.
The programme begins on February 12, with comic writer Deric Longden and continues with upcoming crime novelist Danuta Reah on March 12.
Other authors include romantic novelist Mary Wibberley, on April 9, writing tutor Chris McCallum on July 9 and Annette Brooke on October 8. Retired police inspector Bob Taylor will speak on September 1 and there will be an Agatha Christie evening on August 13.
Chris Buckley, joint author of the Millennium Walk booklet, will be the guest on November 12.
Other events include a children's presentation evening, May 14; annual general meeting, June 11; and Christmas party, December 10.
Anyone interested in joining or attending the talks should contact Airedale Writers' Circle secretary Maureen O'Hara on 01535 603119.
