Cougar king and loyal servant Jason Ramshaw, left, has been handed a coaching job by his hometown club in his testimonial year.
On top of the new role as staff coach, hooker and Keighley legend Ramshaw, 32, is to be rewarded for his support of his hometown club with a lucrative testimonial money-spinner.
Leeds Rhinos are to play their first match at Cougar Park for 27 years, one of many events in a busy year for the crowd favourite.
Ramshaw has made more than 250 appearances for Keighley since joining them in August 1992 and is the only current player to be included in the club's Hall of Fame.
The match against the Rhinos - the first meeting between the two clubs at Keighley since the 1975 Yorkshire Cup semi-final - will be at Cougar Park on Wednesday, January 30.
"It is a shame the match has had to be moved from the Sunday," said Ramshaw, currently out with a shoulder injury.
"But I'm sure people will flock down to see the quality Super League opposition, even on a Wednesday."
Coach Gary Moorby is full of praise for him. "He is well-respected by other players and there is a lot he can offer other team members," he said.
