Skipton cricketer Arran Thompson is having the time of her life while on tour in India.
The Barnoldswick-based 20-year-old was part of a record-breaking opening wicket stand of 200 with opener Carolone Atkins in the one-off Test match in Lucknow.
Speaking to the Telegraph & Argus from her Indian hotel, Arran said: "We just went out to try and build a decent base for our side - and breaking the record was a bonus.
"Things did not go well during the one-day series, so it was important to do well in this game.
"We were aware of the record overnight and when we got to 179 everyone went wild and we congratulated each other in the middle.
"It was an absolutely amazing feeling to know we had broken the world record.
"This tour has been an excellent experience, I am just honoured to be out here."
Although the match ended in a draw, Thompson believes it was a "moral victory" for England who held India to 312-9.
"I feel we turned the corner this game," added Thompson.
"It was a better team performance and there were some good individual performances."
England have to play out two meaningless one-day internationals, they are already three down in the series, before returning home.
Arran will have one day with her family in Barnoldswick before returning to Loughborough University to continue her degree in PE and sports science - she has three exams later this month.
