A hour's picket of Bradford's Belfry restaurant and bar last night ended in the withdrawal of facilities from the National Front for holding future meetings there. After distributing leaflets and mingling and talking with staff and customers, about 40 demonstrators chanted anti-National Front slogans outside the building in an effort to persuade the management that the Front should not in future be allowed to meet there.

Thieves who are believed to have been disturbed made an unsuccessful attempt to blow the safe in the manager's office at the Roxy Cinema, Barkerend Road, Bradford, during the night. Inside the safe was £350, three nights' takings. One of the films shown at the cinema last night was "Larceny". So far as can be ascertained, the intruders did not take anything. All the apparatus they used to try and blow the safe was left behind.
