The biggest game for the local semi-pro sides this week sees Thackley hosting Liversedge in a Northern Counties East Premier Division derby at Dennyfield.
Thackley slipped down to ninth following last Saturday's goalless draw at third-placed Selby Town but Sedge remain just above the relegation trapdoor after a 2-0 defeat by leaders Alfreton Town.
"League positions mean nothing when local pride is at stake and Liversedge will make it a tough game for us," said Thackley assistant manager Warren Fletcher.
"We can't be complacent because we are the team in the top half.
"We are the home side and we want three points from it but down the years this has always been a difficult fixture.
"There is likely to be just one goal in it and we need to be the dominant side to make sure we get our season back on track."
The visitors' boss, Wayne Bruce, is just as adamant that his team have what it takes to upset the odds and score a much needed victory over their rivals.
"We pushed the leaders all the way last week but they scored a second in injury time when we were looking to claim a deserved draw. If we show the same attitude tomorrow it will be a keen derby that could go our way. We have a good record at their place while they generally do well at our ground."
For the home side left back Mark Sugden is still out with a knee injury and midfielder Danny Lawlor is doubtful with a groin strain but Joe Richardson, a former Sedge midfielder, comes back into contention after a knee injury.
Sedge welcome back Gavin Smith as Matt Flynn is doubtful with a pulled hamstring and introduce former Sheffield Wednesday trainee Andy Pounders.
Eccleshill United are one point and one place below Sedge but could draw level with 15th placed Glasshoughton Welfare when they visit the Castleford side for a relegation six-pointer.
Striker Karl Cochrane is back in contention after a five-week suspension. Lee Margerison and James Couborough are doubts with flu.
Bradford Park Avenue tomorrow host Blyth Spartans in the League Challenge Cup quarter-finals.
Guiseley travel to Leek Town in the last eight of the President's Cup. Defender Phil Atkinson has been called into the squad.
