THE draw for the first rounds of Craven Cricket League's Wynn and Cowling Cups producing some interesting pairings.
The pick of the Wynn Cup sees holders Oakworth drawn at Thornton, for whilst the Keighley club will fancy their chances of progressing, the Booth Bridge Lane side are quite capable of causing a shock.
Newly-promoted Cullingworth get a chance to prove they are good enough for the top division when they entertain Foulridge, although the red rose side are another which can be unpredictable.
Skipton CI face a tricky tie over at Denholme. The pair met in last year's first round, with CI getting home by two wickets at Sandylands.
Another first division outfit who could be caught by the proverbial banana skin are Long Lee. They must travel to Chatburn, where they will need to be at the top of their game.
Last year's beaten finalists Haworth will expect to make progress at the expense of Carleton, as will Pendle Forest at home to Airedale.
