Huddersfield Town 1, QPR 0 - Huddersfield boss Lou Macari is demanding that his rejuvenated Terriers maintain their push for the play-offs.
Huddersfield have now lost just once in 15 league games and this victory lifted them above play-off rivals QPR.
The Terriers are now prime candidates for the play-offs and a quick return to Division One following their last-day relegation last May.
Macari said: "I don't think our players have had the credit they deserved.
"We have had a good run and it would be unfair to single anyone out.
"All the players have done their bit and we just need to keep it going."
Andy Booth's 12th goal of the season in the 37th minute won the game as Rangers showed little in the first period.
Playing on a sticky pitch in windy conditions Huddersfield were in charge and after Booth's goal Town could have wrapped up the points by half-time.
Booth's towering header from Holland's cross was a worthy match winner but after that Huddersfield had chances to ensure a less frantic finish.
Skipper Steve Jenkins sent a dipping 25-yard drive just over the bar before Chris Hay almost doubled the lead.
He was clean through but forced keeper Fraser Digby into a full length stop.
The ball fell to Booth whose effort was blocked by Danny Shittu. The rebound came back to Booth but Digby saved Rangers again.
A minute from the break Leon Knight fired straight at Digby but after half-time Rangers hit back and Huddersfield were forced to defend.
Chances fell to Rangers' substitute Doudou, top-scorer Andy Thomson and Leroy Griffiths - but Town goalkeeper Martyn Margetson held firm.
Macari insisted referee Mick Fletcher should have sent off Rangers' midfielder Matthew Rose for a second bookable offence when he fouled Chris Holland.
He was also unhappy that Fletcher turned a blind eye to the antics of former Town striker Kevin Gallen who niggled away at Nathan Clarke throughout.
But as it was, a third win inside a week proved ample reward for Huddersfield and Macari gave Fletcher the benefit of the doubt.
"There is nothing you can do about refereeing decisions but I thought Rose should have been sent off. It was blatant," said Macari.
"Kevin Gallen also kept backing in and the referee didn't take action on that either.
"But after this result I can't complain too much.
"We have got another win and a clean sheet."
