Coffee bar owners in Bradford are going to have to put their prices up if the coffee crisis continues. A cup of coffee costs about 12p to 16p in most of the bars in Bradford. Mr. George Kannaviotu, of the Paradise Coffee Lounge, North Parade said the last time he bought coffee it was £15 a box and now it is £25. "Most of the people come into the coffee bar with 14p or 15p in their hand to pay but mine is still only 12p," he said.

Despite strong opposition Bingley Urban Council approved last night, by ten votes to seven, a Housing Committee recommendation that consideration be given to applications from persons wanting to buy a Council house. It was also decided to issue more building licences to those proving need and to consider making loans to persons who wanted to buy an existing Council house or build their own house.
