Saltaire based hi-tech giant Pace Micro Technology has won a major new order in Asia.
Korea's The Contents Company (TCC) has chosen Pace's digital set-top box for its new interactive TV service.
From February, TCC will be using the DSL4000 'home gateway' to provide television and services like video-on-demand and online gaming to thousands.
Managing director of Pace's Internet Protocol (IP) TV Division, Andrew Clifforth, said: "The DSL4000 is the most popular choice for operators world-wide and we have rapidly established ourselves as the de facto standard for set-top boxes in the Asia-Pacific region."
The company, which shed 470 (CHK) jobs in Saltaire when it moved its manufacturing base overseas last year, has not released figures for the deal but described it as 'substantial'.
