Ilkley Harriers were divided between the Stanbury Splash and the Brass Monkey half marathon on Sunday. The Soreen Stanbury Splash is a seven mile fell race with 1,200ft of climbing, over familiar Dave Woodhead Bronte fells.
Ilkley's Jim Ryder was 40th in 54.47; Mike Baldwin 55th in 56.40; Mike Rhodes 81st in 59.25; Ewan Welsh 102nd in 62.14; Dennis Ackroyd 111th in 63.24; and Geoff Howard 152nd jogging around in about 68 minutes.
In York's Brass Monkey Half marathon, Andy Wade was just outside his PB in 1h15.57; Mark Iley ran a PB (by 1 minute) for 47th place in 1h19.33; and John Kennedy ran a great 90 minutes in his first half marathon.
Suzanne Akeroyd ran 1h31.58 (PB by 4 mins); Richard Midgley and Rob Pawson both ran 1h39; Dave Ibbotson 1h43.35; Bridget Doherty 1h43.37; and Amanda Parnaby 2h00.28.
