Bradford Park Avenue make the arduous trip to the North East tomorrow to face Blyth Spartans in what could be an explosive UniBond Premier Division fixture.
Avenue trounced their rivals 7-1 in the quarter-finals of the League Challenge Cup at Horsfall Stadium on Wednesday when Jason Maxwell and Blyth's Justin Keegan were sent off.
Avenue boss Trevor Storton said: "They will be wound up and will want to avenge the defeat first and foremost - but there is the possibility that there could be a bit of needle between them.
"Jason was accused of spitting and that's why he got a red card. But there is no way in the world Jason would do anything like that.
"The referee has got to be strong, if there is any suggestion of a rough house he has to stamp it out quickly."
Maxwell was left with a gash on his chin and is doubtful for the swift return match, while centre back James Stansfield is ruled out with a hamstring injury.
Most of the fixtures in the Northern Counties East Premier Division are doubtful because of rain.
Eccleshill United are due a visit from Pickering Town but manager Andy Shanks said if it rained today the game would probably be off.
They add midfielder Jamie Buchan to the squad but player coach Lee Margerison is still doubtful with flu.
Liversedge are due to play Denaby United at home. Midfielder Paul Hand is back following a groin strain and Andy Yates is also back.
Thackley journey to Goole for a mid-table clash after dropping out of the top six following two draws and a defeat at title-chasing Brigg Town.
They name the same 14 who were in line to contest last Saturday's rained-off derby with Liversedge.
Back in the UniBond Farsley Celtic will be in buoyant mood for their Division One clash with Lincoln United at Throstle Nest after Wednesday's 1-0 victory at Stocksbridge.
