A wild time is promised by Johnny and the Poorboys as they play their first concerts of the year. The Celtic cowboys' first Keighley gig is on Saturday February 16 at the newly-refurbished Gas Club on Russell Street.
They also play the Copper Beech, Baildon, tomorrow, the New Beehive, Bradford (February 15) and Water Mill, Pateley Bridge (22). Of course no Poorboys announcement would be complete without Johnny's list of celebrities planning to play or see the band.
Here it comes: Shakin' Stevens, Aled Jones, Bay City Roller Les McKeown and Royle Family armchair resident Ricky Tomlinson. At least one will be singing and one playing the banjo. Let's hope neither of them are Shakey.
