Keighley SHAMROCKS were able to steal a march on most of the rest of the league.
They pulled off an impressive victory over top of the table side Bay Athletic while most games had to be postponed because heavy rain had left pitches unplayable.
Divison One side Shammies were 2-1 up at half time with Ross Williams on target for Bay, while John Spurr and Gavin Thompson had scored the Keighley side's goals.
Steve Duckworth scored the only goals of the second half to earn the Keighley side three valuable points.
Shammies are battling hard for a promotion spot at the end of the season, and the win also did Steeton a big favour as they close in on Athletic for top spot. Bay have 36 points after 18 games while Steeton are just two points behind, but also have two games in hand.
So far Shamrocks, who are in fourth spot, have played just 15 games and three wins could see them leapfrog to the top of the table.
Silsden are still on top of the Premier Division after the weather took a toll on most games. Keighley Phoenix will also have to return to the League Cup again after their trip to Otley Town was postponed.
Both Keighley Phoenix and Shamrocks reserves saw their second round league cup games postponed, while Silsden Reserves were also out of action in Reserve Division One.
