MOTOR racing is coming to Keighley's Festival of Sport this summer - with big action from little cars.
Oakbank School students Marcus Sharp and Lee Watts are to organise the action as part of a day of activities.
The sport festival, which was launched last year, will be bigger and better with every sporting organisation in the district invited to take part.
Petrol driven cars are already being prepared for the high-speed action. Tiny engines are fitted into model cars which are from 1:6 to 1:10 scale.
"We will be racing our own cars and are going to hold a championship event so everyone is invited to bring their petrol driven models along," Marcus said.
The event is being held under the banner of SportKeighley and will be held on a car park at the rear of Oakbank School.
The SportKarnival is to be held at Oakbank School on Sunday, June 16, when enthusists of full-size motorsport are also planning to take part.
The Keighley Motor Club is due to be involved.
