Bradford Park Avenue are brimming with confidence as they host former football league rivals Barrow at the Horsfall Stadium tomorrow in their last league game for a fortnight.

Two fantastic victories on the bounce saw Avenue hit 11 goals and concede just one to climb to 15th place in the table after hammering Altrincham 4-1 on Monday and thrashing Gateshead 7-0 on Wednesday.

They will be hard pressed to make it a remarkable hat-trick against sixth-placed Barrow, especially with enigmatic winger Dean Calcutt suspended, but manager Trevor Storton says if they maintain their consistency there is every possibility.

"The lads were absolutely magnificent at Gateshead and against Alty so there is no reason to think we can't get another good win," said the boss, whose side are not back in action in the UniBond Premier until a week on Saturday at Bishop Auckland

"It will be a hard game but they all are in this division. I don't think we are even safe yet but one more victory should do it.

"We'll miss Dean because he has just started to find his form again. We're very disappointed he won't be available.

The players just have to get at it again after those two great results. Then we can go into the first leg of the league cup final in very confident mood."

Storton already had a 15-man squad on duty for the midweek game so he is not adding to his regular pool of first teamers.

Guiseley rekindled their hopes of a play- off place in Division One with back to back victories over the Easter weekend and they have home advantage over Belper Town who still have relegation worries.

But manager Neil Parsley is warning his players not to take the Derbyshire side lightly: "They've picked up three wins from the last four games so they are in form."

Guiseley have joint leading scorer Ryan Senior back in training but Parsley may decide to stick with the 14-man squad that on duty for the 2-1 win at Leek Town and Monday's 1-0 success over Farsley Celtic.

"It might be a game too soon for Ryan and we have one eye on Monday night's visit of Witton Albion so we might give him the extra couple of days rest."

Farsley's hopes of avoiding the dogfight raging just below them took a knock with defeat at Guiseley, they had turned in two great performances prior to that to beat Gretna and Eastwood Town.

Celtic face a visit from mid-table Chorley tomorrow and hope to include midfielder Danny Spence following injury. He will have a late fitness test on his knee and Simon Watson is on standby.
