The top two in the Wharfedale Sunday Football League Premier division will contest the Cookson Cup Final for the first honours of the season.

Silsden out-gunned Regent Victoria in a game which was one way for long periods as the Cobbydale outfit raced into a 3-0 half time lead.

They added two more goals after the break but Steve Forrest got a consolation goal for Victoria as Silsden ran out 5-1 winners.

They will meet Keighley Juniors who scraped in to the final against New Inn Windhill. Juniors took an early lead and then handed Windhill an equaliser with an own goal.

With 10 minutes left, and extra time looming, Shaun Binns saved a penalty for Windhill, but Juniors were not going to be denied. They sneaked a goal late on to go to book their place in the final.

Andy Woods was man of the match for Windhill after an excellent game in midfield.

In the Premier Division Sandy Lane beat Baildon New Inn in a game packed with errors. The first goal came within minutes of the start when the Baildon keeper fell, allowing Sandy Lane to open the scoring.

Baildon went two goals down after a silly penalty which Lane converted and the score line stayed at 2-0 into the second half when Baildon managed to bring some order to their players. Pete Griffith got their only goal to take the score 3-1 before Lane scored two late goals to run out easy winners.

Oddfellows 2000 went down 9-2 at home to Boltmakers Arms. Despite the scoreline it took Bolts 20 minutes to break down the Oddfellows' defence and by half time they were three goals to the good. After the break it was Boltmakers who made better use of a bad pitch.

Paul O'Neil led the way with a hat-trick and Jay Kilby and S Hall both netted twice with G McCullen and Lee MacManus grabbing one each for Boltmakers while Wayne Brewster scored both Oddfellows goals.

Wrose Albion raced into a 4-0 half time lead against basement side Old House at Home. The first from was scored by Neil Beck who latched onto a back pass to open the scoring.

By full time it was 7-0 and Old House have now let in 211 goals in sixteen games. Beck add two more for his hat-trick, Darren Townend netted twice and both James Marshall and Craig Loftus got one each to seal an easy win.
