Silsden'S race to the Premier Division title is balanced on a knife-edge after they played out a 1-1 draw with Lower Hopton.

Their closest challengers, Brighouse Town, failed to take advantage as they also had to settle for a point against struggling Marsden.

The Cobbydale side were 1-0 down at the break after a Craig Conley goal put Hopton ahead. Andy Holden got the equaliser, but the Cobbidale side could not find a winner.

There was a flurry of goals in the battle between Keighley Phoenix and bottom club Storthes hall. They were locked together with two goals each at the break and they managed to add a further goal each in the second half for a 3-3 draw. Phoenix scorers were Craig labbett, Steve Bland and Ben Furness.

Steeton were lucky to come away with a point after going down 2-0 after only seven minutes as they continue to press for promotion into the top flight.

A determined Altofts side was out for revenge after being beaten 5-1 earlier in the season and couldn't have hoped for a better start. After 25 minutes Steeton got a soft penalty awarded which was neatly put away by captain Damien Whiteoak.

The second came from a top quality free kick which found the head of tireless workhorse Jody Procter and things were looking up for the revitalised Steeton side.

Adam Smith battled for the third after the Altofts keeper fumbled the ball, and all three points looked to be heading the way of the South Craven side.

Altofts responded with two quick goals to put them 4-3 up and an own goal, which came off the head of an Altofts defender, set up a hectic last few minutes which boiled over into a 10-man brawl which prompted the referee to blow for full time.

Keighley Shamrocks look to have missed their chance of promotion despite picking up maximum points against Heckmondwike Town. Paul Driver scored the opener as they drew 1-1 with the home club at half time. They followed up with the only goal of the second half from Joe Brady to secure victory.

Phoenix Reserves went down to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Campian Reserves. Chris Smith gave the Keighley side the lead at half time but the home side hit back with two second half goals.

Silsden Reserves are firmly in command at the top Reserve Division Two 10 points ahead of the their closest rivals with three games in hand. Paul Davison and Richard Pearson scored in their 2-1 victory over Salt Old Boys.

Steeton Reserves drew 1-1 with Tyersal thanks to a goal from Mark Whitley.
