A motorcyclist was seriously ill in hospital today after crashing on a series of bends in Apperley Bridge.
The 26-year-old rider from Rawdon was rushed to Bradford Royal Infirmary with multiple injuries.
The Suzuki bike was travelling along Apperley Lane, the A658, from Bradford towards Yeadon at 8.55pm yesterday.
It is believed the bike crashed into a stone wall and collided with a lamp post before rejoining the road near Acacia Park Drive.
A police spokesman said: "His (the biker's) condition is said to be serious at this stage and the police would like to appeal to anybody who witnessed the accident."
No other vehicles are thought to be involved.
Bradford Royal Infirmary today described the motorcyclist's condition as "stable".
