A Bradford-based business is investing £500,000 and taking on 30 extra staff.
Mansfield Pollard Group, which specialises in ventilation, air handling and acoustic control, will be investing more than half a million pounds over the next two years as it buy out a competitor and invests in a new site.
The money will go towards facilities, people, plant and tooling.
The firm says the acquisition of the new site and the purchase of a West Midlands competitor will provide it with a solid platform to extend its presence in the UK.
Alan Pollard, joint managing director of the firm and great grandson of the firm's founder, said: "We are very excited to add to the resources and strengths of our group.
"We have experienced an encouraging 12 months and believe the time is right to make significant investment to build our business to reinforce our position as one of the top three players in our market."
The firm will take on 30 more staff from Euro Air Systems, one of its major competitors, which it is buying.
The move will take the company's staff level to more than 200.
Mansfield's new facility on Dudley Hill gives the firm an extra 15,000 sq ft which it has dedicated to the manufacturing and development of vibration and acoustic-controlled equipment for use in land, air and marine installations around the globe.
Mansfield Pollard was founded in 1866 to support the area's textile industry.
Company clients include Morrisons, Bass, Zeneca and Tesco.
