City boss Nicky Law was today charged with misconduct by the Football Association.
Law is in hot water for his verbal attack on referee Rob Styles at half-time of Saturday's win at Wimbledon.
He disputed Styles' decision to play an extra minute of added time at the end of the first half - and had to watch the rest of the game from the stand after being sent off by the Hampshire official.
Law, who has fiercely criticised the standard of refereeing this season, is unrepentant about his remarks.
He has 14 days to reply to the charge and could also request a personal hearing at a meeting on May 16. If found guilty, Law is likely to face a touchline ban for the opening couple of games of next season as well as being fined.
Meanwhile Andy Myers is training again - but still backs his City understudy to keep him out the team.
Myers, hot favourite to be named City's Player of the Year next week, is fit again after missing seven games with a torn hamstring.
He could even be ready to feature against second-placed West Brom at Valley Parade on Saturday.
But Nicky Law is likely to stick with Mark Bower who has filled in so impressively at centre-half with David Wetherall - a decision that Myers totally endorses.
Myers said: "Mark has been absolutely brilliant since he's got into the team and I'm really pleased for him.
"One man's misfortune is another man's gain and he's grabbed his opportunity. I've always rated him and knew he was capable of doing it when the chance arose."
