RESIDENTS of a Yeadon street fighting for it to be resurfaced have won their battle.
The people who live in Henshaw Avenue claim their street is in desperate need of resurfacing.
But now, they have been told that if everything goes to plan it will be completely resurfaced in the next financial year.
Councillor Graham Latty, (Con, Aireborough), who has been lobbying the council's highways department for action, said he was delighted.
In a letter to Coun Latty, the council's highways and transportation department has confirmed that the road is to be included in the maintenance programme for the coming financial year.
"I'm very pleased and I'm sure all the residents will be too. I shall be making sure the highways department keeps to its promise," he said.
