A CHARITY'S fundraising manager hopes to become the fastest seven-foot mobile phone in London when he runs the London Marathon.
Yeadon-Based British Epilepsy Association fund-raising manager Paul Tranter will take on the 26-mile race in London this weekend, and aims to stand out from the crowd.
Mr Tranter's costume bears the (0808) 8005050 telephone number of the BEA helpline.
Mr Tranter is a keen runner, and has run the London Marathon three times before, with his best time being just under three hours.
He decided to try something different for this year's race, and came up with the idea of running in costume.
He said: "I thought it would be fun to run the marathon in fancy dress.
"The helpline offers invaluable advice and support to a wide range of people affected by epilepsy."
The sponsorship money he raises will go towards the development of the BEA's services.
