A hall that was once the hub of a community has re-opened after a £50,000 refurbishment.
The doors to the Mechanics Institute in Denholme were thrown open to the public following a five-month building and decorating project.
Bradford Council leader Councillor Margaret Eaton officially re-opened the community venue.
She was joined by Denholme Town Mayor, Councillor Barbara Rayner, and Deputy Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Irene Ellison-Wood.
The opening was followed by a concert by Wilsden Brass Band to raise cash for Denholme Scouts, who are planning a trip to the Scout World Jamboree in Thailand during December.
Councillor Rayner said: "We've been waiting more than 20 years for this but the Council team have done a really good job and the colour scheme and floor are absolutely super - we are thrilled to bits.
"What it needs now is some kind of lift or stairlift to get older and disabled people up to the first floor."
