Local chef Ryan Greene has landed a job at one of London's premier hotels.
He has joined a hand picked team working for BBC celebrity chef Paul Gayler at the Lanesborough in Hyde Park Corner.
The hotel is used by an array of stars and heads of state during stays in the capital - the guest list has boasted Michael Jackson, President Bush, the Sultan of Brunei and more recently Lisa Minelli, who honeymooned there.
It was home earlier this week to royalty and several heads of state from overseas who were in London for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.
The royal suite costs £4,500 per night - excluding VAT, but including the services of two butlers and a limousine.
Ryan, 20, was born and brought up in Sutton and lived in the area until leaving school to attend Craven College.
He is a former pupil of Sutton County Primary and South Craven schools.
Latterly he worked at Coniston Hall Hotel, and last year won a coveted bronze award at the international Salon Culinaire competition.
Ryan, who has just moved to London to take up his new position, said: "I am absolutely thrilled to have been offered this awesome opportunity."
His mother, Ann, told us: "We are very proud of his achievement.
Last week he was cooking for Bill Gates - he was in his element!"
