CRAVEN chef Ryan Green has been cooking dishes fit for royalty after starting work at a top London hotel.
Ryan, 20, whose family lives in Gargrave, was hand-picked to join the team working for BBC celebrity chef Paul Gaylor at the Lanesborough Hotel, on Hyde Park Corner.
The hotel is the choice of world-famous celebrities including singer Michael Jackson, President Bush, the Sultan of Brunei and Liza Minelli, who recently spent part of her honeymoon there.
This week several heads of state and royalty have been staying at the hotel while attending the funeral of the Queen Mother.
Ryan said he was thrilled to have been offered the "awesome position".
But Craveners wishing to sample fare provided by Ryan can do so at a price. The Royal suite at the hotel will set you back £4,500 per night, and that's before VAT!
Ryan, who began his career at Coniston Hall Hotel, trained at Craven College, Skipton. Last year he won the coveted bronze award at the international Salon Culinaire competition and will now be competing in competitions throughout the world with his team at the Lanesborough.
