A councillor has renewed his call for traffic calming measures to be introduced on a Shipley road.
The Telegraph & Argus reported last month how residents in Owlet Road, Windhill, were calling on Bradford Council to install road humps or signs in a bid to slow traffic down.
They claimed drivers were using the road as a rat-run to avoid congestion in the town centre and said children's lives were being put at risk.
Councillor Phil Thornton (Lab, Shipley East), vice-chairman of governors at nearby High Crags Primary School, said: "Drivers are travelling way too fast on this road. Lives are being put in danger and I want to see immediate traffic-calming measures in place to reduce traffic speeds below 30mph.
"I'd also plead with drivers to please slow down because there's a school nearby.''
Bradford Council has said it is looking into the issue of safety on Owlet Road.
