Steeton were missing five key players through suspensions, injuries and work commitments but still were able to field a strong XI against Divi-sion One leaders Bay Athletic.
After a poor first half, influenced by a blustery wind, Steeton get on top as a tiring Bay started to sit back.
A storming run down the left from Steve Barker had 'goal' written all over it as he set off from just inside the Bay half.
Although the run stuttered as he got in the box, Barker managed to get the shot away to make it 1-0 to Steeton.
A single goal by James Gill was also enough as Steeton beat Farnley 1-0 away on Wednesday night.
Keighley Shamrocks won 4-0 at Halifax Irish with goals by Paul Driver, Joe Brady, Colin Horsfield and Steve Duck-worth. In the Premier Division a Mark Caton goal was not enough as Silsden lost 2-1 at Storthes Hall, while two goals from Jimmy Spencer and one from Craig Labbett gave Keigh-ley Phoenix a 3-1 win at Stump Cross
