Detectives were today examining footage from a McDonald's restaurant where robbers terrified staff and customers.
Four masked men, three of whom brandished guns, burst into the restaurant in Thornbury Road, Thornbury at 10.15pm on Friday and stole cash. The exact amount stolen has not been revealed.
There had been 12 staff working at the time in the restaurant which was described as 'quite busy'.
A burned-out silver Rover was later found off Silver Hill Road, Bradford Moor.
Detectives believe the car, stolen from Horsforth on March 23, was the getaway car. Witnesses saw men running away from the car.
Detective Superintendent Paul Kelsey said: "It would appear that these were very professional criminals. It was well-organised."
The suspects made off in a dark car which had been parked in an alley between Silver Hill Road and Moor Park Drive.
A McDonald's spokesman said: "Thankfully, no-one was hurt but the restaurant was quite busy at the time. We are fully co-operating with the police at the moment."
One of the robbers was a small Asian man, another was a short African-Caribbean. No-one was injured and no shots were fired.
Any witnesses to the raid or who saw the Rover being abandoned are asked to ring police on (01274) 376085.
