A pedestrian who died after an accident with a car late on Friday night has been named as Paul Mortimer, of Collingham Avenue, Buttershaw, Bradford.
Mr Mortimer, 26, was struck by a Ford Escort on the A647 Highgate Road at 11.18pm shortly after he had left Clayton Heights Working Men's Club. He was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary but died just after 3am.
About 20 bouquets of flowers were put outside the club's door by Mr Mortimer's family and friends this weekend. They spoke of their love for him and how much he would be missed.
The driver of the Ford Escort, a 36-year-old Queens-bury woman, was shocked but unhurt, said police.
