Bradford's small and medium sized building contractors are leading the way in a national health and safety campaign. The National Federation of Builders is set to run a series of health and safety courses for its members in the area to improve health and safety standards. Richard Collins, regional director of the NFB, said: "We're aiming to reduce accident rates by sharing and learning from best practice. The training initiative underlines our commitment to health and safety, which is a primary concern of the NFB. It is crucial the medium-sized contractor and smaller builder has access to first rate advice and training. Practical, on-going support is needed if the industry is going to make serious headway."
