Residents have called on a Keighley school to repair a dry stone wall that is disappearing bit by bit.
People living in Manor Road, Utley, say a wall at the rear of their homes is becoming more vandalised as the weeks go by.
They believe that some of the damage has been done by pupils taking a short cut and climbing over the wall, knocking the stones off in the process.
Residents want Greenhead High School, which the wall borders, to restore it to its former state.
Former KN village correspondent turned crime author Lesley Horton is one of the residents who would like to see the wall restored.
She says: "The problem started when a tree blew over and smashed into the wall, leaving a gaping hole.
"Since then other parts of the wall have been knocked over, with stones just left lying in a pile.
"There was a stile that was closed off further along, which has probably contributed to the problem as well.
"I know that the school has been very busy with all of the rebuilding work, but the wall needs some attention before it is completely ruined.
"All of the stone is left there, so they wouldn't have to find any replacement materials."
Greenhead head teacher Miles Mizon says: "Someone is due to come into school this week to inspect the wall with a view to external builders starting work on it as soon as possible."
