THERE was a twist in the tail of both the Wilsden clash with Skipton and Bocking's encounter with Three Horses in the Premier Cup.

Both games provided real cup-tie entertainment with the first half of the Skipton and Wilsden game remaining goalless as both teams squandered a host of chances. Shortly after the re-start Wilsden opened the scoring and while Skipton began to assert themselves Wilsden went further ahead.

Skipton continued to play their neat passing game while Wilsden adopted a more direct route. After missing several chances Skipton finally opened their tally and soon added a second to level the scores.

Both teams continued to let opportunities go begging, before quality football finally paid off with a goal for Skipton as extra-time was beckoning. They still had to survive a hectic final period before the whistle.

The home team had the better of the first half exchanges as Three Horses entertained Bocking, to take a 3-1 lead at the break. Whatever the Bocking manager said at half time had the desired effect as his team came out with all guns blazing.

After 25 minutes they were back on level terms and they soon scored again to take the lead for the first time. With five minutes left Three Horses threw everything into attack and with the clocking ticking away they found the net from a corner to take the game into extra time.

The late goal took its toll on Bocking who had nothing left and conceded the only two goals of the extra period. Phil Howler and Robert Andrews scored two each for Bocking with Three Horses securing a 6-4 victory after extra time. Their scorers were Liam Best, Jamie Rowell, Damien rowell (3) and Chris Smith.
