Silsden must beat Brighouse this weekend if they are to have any chance of rekindling their Premier Division title hopes.

After a superb season the team's push to the County Challenge Cup final has taken its toll on their league form and their two recent defeats look to have let the championship slip from their grasp.

They are seven points behind Brighouse with a game in hand.

On Saturday they slipped to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Hemsworth Miners Welfare.

Steeton are also making things interesting t the top of Division One. They are still top of the table, but a 1-0 defeat by Salt Olt Boys have left them level on points with Bay Athletic.

That result followed a 3-3 draw with Heckmondwike Town on Monday with Danny Gaudosi (2) and Steve Barker on target for the Summerhill side, who are also looking forward to their date with cup destiny.

On Saturday Keighley shamrocks pulled off a 4-2 victory over Dudley Hill Rangers with goals from Paul Driver, Joe Brady, Howard Wellwood and Steve Duckworth. and they followed up with a midweek 3-1 win over Rawdon Old Boys thanks to goals from Colin Horsfield, Joe Brady and Paul Driver.

Silsden Reserves are the only team in the league to have made certain of championship honours, lifting the Reserve Division Two title thanks to a 1-0 derby victory over neighbours Silsden who are in third place.

Keighley Phoenix Res made it to the semi-final of the Reserve Division Cup with a 4-1 victory over Ardsley Celtic. Mark Sutcliffe scored a hat-trick and Mick Thompson was also on target. Keighley Shamrocks Reserves just failed to make it through, slipping to a 4-2 defeat by Lower Hopton
